I liked the poem “Lonely Dancer” because the girl in the poem was all a alone at a ball. She had on a pretty dress on and she had no one to dance with at the ball. Because she had no one to dance with she felt so alone and sad, until someone came to ask her for dance. During all of this she is imaging dancing with someone on the dance floor. While imaging she thinks that she is on top of the world because she go to dance with someone at the ball. When she stops imaging she starts to cry because it was all a dream.
This poem connects to my life because I like to imagine things that might not ever happen to me in my life time. It also connects to my life by some times I fell lonely when I am somewhere that I have never been and I feel start to feel uncomfortable.
My personal definition of poetry is that it can be about something sad, good, funny, love, or even your pet, ext… A poem can be about someone you love. I think poetry expresses how you feel about your self or someone. It can be about what happen on a particular day. Poetry can be a lot of things to you. Poetry can be about something not true or it can be about something real that happened. Poetry can be about something you love to do in your spear time.

http://www.elyrics.net/read/t/tLC-lyrics/what-about-your-friends-lyrics.html
What About Your Friends lyricsEvery now and then I get a little crazyThat's not the way it's supposed to beSometimes my vision is a little hazyI can't tell who I should trust or just who I let trust me (yeah)People try to say I act a little funnyBut that's just a figure of speech to meThey tell me I changed because I got moneyBut if you were there before then you're still down with me[Chorus:]What about your friendsWill they let you down againWhat about your friends are they gonna be low downWill they ever be around or will they turn their backs on youWell is it me or can it be I'm a little tooFriendly so to speak hypotheticallySay I supply creativity to what others Must take as a form of self-hateOnly to make an enemyWhich results in unfortunate destinyThey dog me out then be next to meJust cause I am what some choose to envyEvery now and then I get a little easyI let a lot of people depend on meI never though they would ever deceive meDon't you know when times got rough I was standing on my ownI'll never let another get that clost to meYou see I've grown a lot smarter nowSometimes you have to choose and then you'll seeIf your friends is true they'll be there with you Through the thick and thin[Chorus]Yo is it me, is it me or can it be I am a little too friendlySo to speak hypothetically'Cause I supply creativity to what othersMust take as a form of self-hateOnly to make an enemyWhich results in unfortunate destinyThey dog me out then be next to meJust cause I am what some choose to envy[Chorus]People say I asc a little funnyI wouldn't change not for no moneyI'll be a friend as long as you're a friend to me (yeah, yeah)Even though I might seem easyIt don't give you no cause to deceive meIt's not the way that I want my friends to ever be
The song "what about your friends" is talking about would your friends stay with you even when you're making lots of money. The song is talking about would your friends act fake around you just because you have money or would they be with you for the real thing.
I like this song because it makes me think about what if I was making alot of money and my friends wernt would they be around me because of the money or are they really my friends. This song does not connects to my life right Know.

Huck Fin Essay Exam 1
Huck's moral dilemma is that he is trying to help Jim escape down south so the widow can't sell him. Huck is developing by him getting smarter along the way, like they use to travel during the day but now they travel at night because there is nobody out at night to see them. Also knowing like in chapter 19 when Huck and Jim know when it's about to be morning by the candle in the windows so the house that they past to let them know it was time to get out of the water and get ashore.
Huck is doing the right thing by helping Jim escape. Because Jim doesn't want to get sold, so Huck is a very lenient guy and is helping Jim escape from the widow. In (Chap8 pg.32-36) is when Huck and Jim begin to runway together. Huck is doing the right thing because he know if he didn't hunters were going to find Jim and sell him to some slave owner, and Huck might have that own his consionts saying maybe I should have helped Jim escape when I had the chance. Also Huck can help Jim out by avoid being seen by him self and not getting caught by the wrong people.
Huck feels if he doesn't help Jim he is going to get sold, and then Jim wouldn't be able to take care of his family. So Huck and Jim travel along the Missouri R. to get to the free state, and along the way they meet some hunters looking for a missing slave and Huck comes up with a lie so the hunters wont Know that he is helping a runaway slave by saying his pap has the chicken pox. Huck also helps Jim by them traveling at night rather than during the day so nobody wont see them to traveling to together.
All in all Huck's faces a dilemma by helping Jim escape down the Missouri R. with out them two getting caught by any slave catchers. They do this be traveling at night, watching out for the wrong kinds of people. And by Huck making up lies along the way about how his pap is sick or how made up family members died along the way down the river. They also watch for candles in the Windows to tell whether its time to pull ashore and hide.

Huck Finn Readers Response #3 (chp. 14 - chp.18)
The thing that impresses Huck about the Grangerford’s house is they have locks on the doors and they also had new rag carpet on the floor. Huck’s view of success and happiness is having new clothes and having servants for every body in the house and being able to have new things like carpet. “As soon as I was in, the old gentleman he locked the door and barred it and bolted it, and told the young men to come in with their guns, and they all went in a big parlor that had a new rag carpet on the floor.” (chp.17 pg.73 par.4)
The books in the house are so special because they are poems written by Emmeline. Huck is interested in the books because he had never read or seen those kinds of books before in his life. Huck also found interesting was the pictures in the book. Huck’s view of education is that it is really important to have education. Mark Twain’s view of education is you need have an education. “They was different from any pictures I ever see before.” (chp.17, pg. 76, par3)
The unique thing about the drawings, poems, and the scrapbook is that 15 year old Emmeline did all those things before she died and she was really good at what she did. Emmeline was obsessed with the people who died in accidents and cases of patient of suffering, when she did that she would make poems about them. The significance of the painting is that which ones would be the best and the rest to be scratched out. Huck’s view of death is that it was something to be sad about when someone dies.
Huck’s view of suicide must be a scary thing for him. Huck’s view of art might be a very good thing to do and see. Huck is so touched by the girl’s life and art because she was very talented at what she did and she was living a very good life. “And Art Thou Gone Yes Thou Art Gone Alas”. ( chp.17, pg.77, par.1)

Reader Response 2: Huck Finn (7 - 13)
“I did wish Tom Sawyer was there, I knowed he would take an intrest in this kind of business.” (chap.7, pg25,par 2)
Huck is positively influenced by Tom Sawyer because Huck is doing things that Tom would like to do in his spare time like play stealing from people and camping out in the forest, but only Huck is doing it for real. Huck is also influenced by how Tom thinks and looks at things in his own was.
"I took an old sack and put a lot of big rocks in it, - all I could drag - and I started it from the pig and dragged it to the door through the woods down to the river and dumped it in, and down it sunk, out of sight. You could easy see that something had been dragged over the ground."(Chap.7, pg.25,par 2)
Huck is negatively influenced by Pap because of the things he does and how he treats Huck. All that negativity caused Huck to run away and fake his own death.
Huck is influenced by Widow Douglas because there were something that he remembered her saying to him about stealing from other people and how that was a bad thing to do. "The widow said it warn't anything but a soft name for stealing, and no decent body would do it." (chap 12, pg 49, par 3)
She has like taught him a good thing that he remembered even though he took the food any way.
Huck is influenced by Jim because of how brave he is and there are somethings he has seen and Huck never seen before in his life. "You hold still -I'll go en see."(Chap.9, pg 38, par3)
Jim didn't want Huck to go in at the same as Jim because Jim is use to seeing terrible things being done to other people and Huck has never seen anything before.

Reader Response 1: Huck Finn (1 - 6)
Relationship to Parents:
" Pap he hadn't been seen for more than a year, and that was comfortable for me; I didn't want to see him no more."(chap.3, par4., pg.9)
Huck didn't want to see his pap any more becuse pap would beat on him when he would go to see him, and he would always be jrunk when he beat on him.
I think that the quote is sad because Huck said that he feels more comfortable when pap was not around. I think that shows you as parent how selfish you are towards your own child that you are to buisees getting drunk all the time and can't take care of your own child. I think the relationship to parent is bad because Pap is not their to take care of his responsibillitise as a parent by not being around for Huck in a positive way. I can't really relate this to my life because I live with both of my parents and I don't really have that kind of problem.
Mark Twain Might think that the quote is disapponiting because of what Huck Finn said about pap. Mark Twain might think the relationship between Huck and Pap is bad because of how pap is drunk all the time and take care of Huck. this relates to Mark Twain's life is by it was just Mark and his brother growing up they didn't have parents to raise them.
